Switzerland’s biggest film contest launches its new summer edition. Register from June 8 at zff72.com to take part in the ZFF 72 Summer Edition. The competition requires entrants to create a film on a given theme lasting no longer than 72 seconds in just 72 hours. Prizes worth CHF 3’000 are up for grabs.
Film fans and creative minds alike are invited to visit zff72.com before 12 noon on Friday, June 29, 2018 to register. This is also the time when the theme will be announced. From this point on, entrants will have exactly 72 hours (until 12 noon on Monday, July 2, 2018) to complete and upload their finished clips to zff72.com.
The online community is then given the chance to vote for its favourite clip at zff72.com. The voting period runs until 12 noon on Thursday, July 5. The film with the most points after the voting period ends receives the Viewers Award and a prize worth CHF 3’000.
The ZFF 72 film contest is aimed at film enthusiasts, filmmakers and filmmakers in the making. Although the theme is given, entrants are free to choose the genre. Films can either be fictional or documentary.
ZFF 72 looks back on a five-year history of success: 258 clips rated by a total of 28’000 voters were entered in 2017. The Zurich Film Festival now celebrates this jubilee year with its first ever summer edition.
The ZFF 72 contest is kindly supported by Credit Suisse and Samsung. ZFF 72 also collaborates with various other film festivals in the emerging filmmaker and short film sectors.
