ZFF 72 – Switzerland’s biggest filmmaking contest now open for entries – once again with Talent Pool
Switzerland’s biggest filmmaking contest enters its next round: entrants can register to take part now at zff72.com. The contest requires entrants to produce a film lasting no longer than 72 seconds in just 72 hours. There are prizes worth more than CHF 10’000.-
to be won. ZFF 72 ambassador and freestyle skier Fabian Bösch will hand out the prizes.
The aim of ZFF 72 is to encourage and inspire filmmakers of all kinds to reach new creative heights by making a film in 72 hours. A specialist jury will rate every film that meets the ZFF 72 entry requirements. The worldwide online community also has the chance to vote for its favourite at zff72.com during the voting period, which lasts from 18:00 on Monday, October 1 until 18:00 on Thursday, October 4.
The ZFF 72 contest is aimed at film fans, filmmakers and filmmakers in the making, regardless of age, sex or nationality. Although the theme of the film is given, entrants are free to choose the genre; films can be fictional, documentary or animated.
Entrants are invited to register at zff72.com before 12 noon on Friday, September 28, 2018 –
this is also the time when the theme of the contest is announced. From this point on, participants have exactly 72 hours to finish and upload their short film to zff72.com. The deadline for entries is 12 noon on Monday, October 1, 2018.
Talent Pool
You can also enter the ZFF 72 talent contest as a team. The talent pool at zff72.com is the place for entrants to post an ad offering their services or find that missing crewmember. Posting an ad is free of charge. You can also use the platform year-round for other projects not related to
ZFF 72.
Award Ceremony
The Award Ceremony with Award Party takes place on Friday, October 5 at Folium Sihlcity in Zurich. Brand-Ambassador and freestyle skier Fabian Bösch will dish out the prizes to the winners. Bösch is not only a sportsman, but also a passionate filmmaker who thrills his Instagram followers with daring action clips.
The winner of the Jury Award receives a CHF 5’000.- cash prize and the winner of the Audience Award receives a CHF 4’000.- cash prize. Implemented in collaboration with Samsung, films in the Mobile Filming category will be rated by a separate jury.
The winners will receive non-cash prizes from Samsung. ZFF 72 is supported by Credit Suisse, Samsung, Singular DTV and the media partners Radio Energy, 20 Minuten, Cineman and Cineuropa.
ZFF 72 also collaborates with various film festivals in the young filmmaker and short film sectors and Zurich University of the Arts.
