Spacecrib is a Swiss streetwear label founded by Salome Sandmeier and Meriton Qerimaj known for merging high‑quality urban fashion with cosmic, otherworldly inspiration a concept the brand describes as “where high‑quality streetwear meets the cosmos.

FM42: Congratulations on 4 years of the brand! Spacecrib describes itself as the place “where high-quality streetwear meets the cosmos.” How do you translate that cosmic inspiration into your designs?
Spacecrib: Thank you! This autumn, we’re actually celebrating our 5th anniversary — a milestone we’re incredibly proud of.
From the very beginning, our vision has been to merge high-quality streetwear with a sense of the cosmic and the surreal. Many of our designs feature space-inspired elements such as aliens, astronauts, and planetary motifs. They reflect our fascination with the unknown and our love for everything that feels otherworldly.

FM42: Every collection feels inspired by the universe. Can you share a specific moment, idea, or element from space that influenced your latest designs?
Spacecrib: With our latest drops, we consciously stepped outside our “safe space” of bold, oversized cosmic graphics and experimented with more understated, relaxed pieces.
That said, we stayed true to our galactic DNA through our color palette. Deep browns and warm beige tones, combined with our signature acid wash, were inspired by the surface of Venus. It was our way of translating planetary aesthetics into wearable everyday pieces.

FM42: Your show at Zurich Fashion Week transformed Kongresshaus Zürich into a universe of its own. What was the mood, story, or feeling you wanted the audience to walk away with?
Spacecrib: At Spacecrib, we believe it’s powerful to feel like an “alien” sometimes — to stand out rather than fit in. Our message is about creating an open space where individuality is celebrated.
Whether it’s wearing your hoodie as a skirt or pairing elegant heels with oversized joggers — fashion should feel free, intuitive, and unapologetically personal.
For Zurich Fashion Week, the overall setup was created by the organizers, but for our future runway shows, we’re excited to elevate the visual storytelling even further and build an even more immersive, space-inspired atmosphere.

FM42: After showcasing at Zurich Fashion Week, the spotlight grows. What are your plans for the future, and what can we expect next from Spacecrib?
Spacecrib: We’ve been truly overwhelmed by the response. Being part of the first Zurich Fashion Week and connecting with so many of our beloved “Spacies” was an unforgettable experience.
Community has always been at the heart of Spacecrib. We thrive on connecting with like-minded creatives and growing together. Our long-term vision is to expand internationally and continue building a movement that reaches far beyond borders — dressing the entire galaxy, one drop at a time.
This autumn, we’re planning our first international trip to Paris, which marks an exciting next step in our journey.

FM42: For fashion lovers who are just discovering Spacecrib, what are the easiest ways to get their favorite pieces?
Spacecrib: We stay closely connected with our community through daily content on Instagram and TikTok, where we share inspiration, behind-the-scenes moments, and new drops.
All of our latest collections are available in our online shop — and we ship worldwide. A huge dream of us is to open our own store, where we can connect even more with our Spacies. Let’s see what the universe has to offer.
